Sustainable impact begins with EDUCATION and the Gospel of JESUS Christ.
HOPE Recovered is building the Kingdom of God among the young generation. But building the Kingdom of God is not the task of an individual, a church, an organization, or a denomination. It is the Lord's command to the worldwide body of Christ. We are not to build our reputation, name, or brand. After all, in the Kingdom of God, all glory, honour, and praise belong to the King. Our task is to teach the world the Good News of the Kingdom, to obey and observe the instructions of God. HOPE Recovered does exactly that. We empower underprivileged children and youth through education and the Gospel.

Non-profit organisations have a very difficult task in our modern times. Often our help is making things worse and causing more problems. It is a walk on the edge of pleasing donors and beneficiaries while sticking to our vision and solving problems, not causing them.
In his book counterculture, David Platt looks at giving to the poor from a biblical perspective and describes how to bring sustainable poverty relief.
I know God is in control. But still I have this feeling of urgency to act and helplessness at the same time. I am afraid of the violence of hungry people and the devastation they could cause. This is your opportunity to make a difference and leave a legacy. I strongly believe the time is now.
Wallace D. Wattles published a very interesting viewpoint already in 1910 which certainly has some truth to it. I wonder why we still tend to help using old models of charity. I quote directly from his book “Science of getting rich”. You can get your copy of the book for free here: “Do not talk […]
In my daily bible reading I came across a passage and I thought to myself: “Wow how encouraging. I should write something to our supporters and encourage them as well”. But life went on. A few days later a friend sent me the exact same scripture in a modern German translation. It grabbed me even […]
When I tell people that we want to move to the township, they often look at me as if there was something wrong with me. Well maybe there is. Since living in the suburb has tremendous advantages. Shops, health care facilities, recreation and entertainment are all at your doorstep. The weekends are quiet. There is […]

It was difficult to get hold of the relevant person to get a permit during lockdown. Then good friends raised money to provide food for the needy and offered HOPE Recovered several parcels. So […]
